Interstate 49 Palms to the Pines

The NAFT connection from New Orleans, Louisiana to Winnipeg Canada.

A quick north / south route in America’s mid land is Interstate 49. The NAFT connection in the north reaches from Interstate 29 at Winnipeg Canada and Interstate 35 at Duluth, Minnesota joining to form Interstate 49 at Kansas City, Missouri. This major transportation link lays equal distance between Interstate 55 of Jackson Mississippi in the east and Interstate 35 in Dallas Texas to the west.

I-49 starting in the north from Kansas City intersects  6 interstates: I-70, I-44, I-40, I-30, I-20, and I-10 as it travels to it endpoint of New Orleans.  Mexico is a short side trip down US 59 to the border city of Laredo TX.

Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and Wisconsin are all states served by I-49 fed by I-29 and I-35 with the nick name of the “Mid-America Connection”.

Sections of the interstate are still under construction or seeking funding for construction with the majority of the project completed.

Transportation of goods and services are easily and cost effected utilizing the I-30 Dallas to Little Rock Arkansas east west road systems and I-49 serving both the north and south borders of America.
