Labor
(click here to view more information)
Texarkana employers
draw their workers from a population of more than 165,452
people within a 30-mile radius of Texarkana. Area employers
will attest to the trainable nature and dedication of their
employees. Low absentee and turnover rates are the norm for
the majority of area manufacturers.
A
record of successful operation and continued growth by several
area industries gives clear testimony to the work ethic of the
people.
Shift work is readily accepted by men and women alike. Many
area plants operate three shifts, while four operate 24 hours
a day, seven days a week.
The adage, "an honest day's work for a day's pay," still
applies in Texarkana.
