from the education and business sectors. The main goal is to promote
good character programs through such avenues as the annual Career
Fair, Good Character scholarships, Character 1st website, Texas
Scholars and Arkansas Scholars. The Chamber staff assists with

Honor Card
This program is a business/education partnership that rewards high
school students for academic excellence. The purpose of the program
is to encourage students to strive for all A’s and B’s by offering
them incentives and/or discounts from sponsoring businesses.
Everyone wins – students, parents, businesses, and schools.
Career Fair
The Career Fair is a two day event held in October each year.
Representatives from colleges, universities, vocational schools, the
military and local employers are on hand to provide information to
area high school students. Local Human Resource professionals
conduct seminars explaining to students how to prepare for job
interviews. Financial aid information is made available to students
and their parents. The Career Fair is an excellent opportunity for
students to learn more about colleges, universities, and job
opportunities in the community.

ISD, Texarkana Texas ISD, Liberty Eylau ISD, Pleasant Grove ISD,
